The "mother of Georgian cheese," Ana Mikadze-Chikvaidze, has made searching for lost Georgian cheeses her life's work.
I hope you will one day find these cheeses!!!
(Also, a caveat that this food magazine apparently did not fact-check the history. First of all, Turks have lots of cheeses, they are nothing if not pro-cheese. While the interview subject may understand Georgia’s history this way, it doesn’t mean it should be presented as “truth.” More concretely, the Russian Empire, not the Ottoman, controlled all of what is now Georgia in the first part of the 20th century.)
