So this guy existed and now he seems to have disappeared but his songs are still pretty good.
future sex love sounds…
… not of the justin timberlake variety.
more like the sultry space-age stuff that's been popping up in the past few years, dripping with eerie distortion and heavy beckoning sensual sighs.
after future androids gain a mastery of human emotion and perfect the art of music, these are the songs they will listen to while they make android babies.
download the whole lot of them here.
beep.
boop. meep.
Postcards and Polaroids is even vluchtig als een vergelende foto. Voor je het weet is het lied voorbij, de herinnering eraan vervaagd langzaam, tot op het verloren moment dat je het deuntje in de trein na zit te neuriën en je het simpelweg niet meer uit je hoofd krijgt.

MFM New Music Update (Orca Orca, Tashaki Miyaki, Essay, Georgiaa)
We introduced this feature yesterday; a small collection of updates and movements of all the new acts catching our eye at the moment. Seems we may be giving you updates fairly frequently, as by the time I pressed "post" on the last article, a few offerings of new music seemed to magically appear in front of me. Pay close attention: --------------------- Orca Orca used to be known as Young Minds and parts of the 'Change of Pace' 7" were written under that moniker (one which Jim Hewitt was reportedly not too fond of). Think of this as an exciting resurgence, then. The b-side, 'Get Up(Get Out)' is especially refreshing.

------------------------ Tashaki Miyaki project one of those delightfully timeless guitar-based sounds; a sound we've been besotted with for some time now. Sounds of Sweet Nothing (the label that brought us Gross Magic) have snapped 'em up for a 12" physical EP release, all of which is available on bandcamp now. Upon a pre-order, you're also given five additional tracks - alternative versions of tracks AND a Buddy Holly cover. The outer-space and jellyfish featuring video for 'Somethin Better Than Nothin' can be seen below:
------------------------
Edinburgh's Essáy have already given us the Distance & Lights EP in 2011, but this breathtakingly haunting track, which is a seemingly a spontaneous giveaway, makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. On the recording process, the describe their surroundings as such..."it was really, really grey" Essáy - Noir by ESSÁY. ------------------------ Georgiaa really caught our attention with the saccharine, sweeping sound of 'Summer Grass' - the freshest, most honest pop song to show its face in the last few months. Since that offering, Dane Mathias Andersen has gone on to display something a little more in-line with Youth Lagoon th an Wild Nothing. The sharp guitar lines remained, only this time they're accompanied by light keys and hushed, near-tuneless vocals. An interesting step away from the earlier sound.

Georgiaa - 'Weeks'
- serene and hypnotic lo-fi dream-pop from Denmark. Georgiaa is Mathias Anderson, 'Weeks' seemigly plods along to a hand-clap beat in a song with subtle layers of synths, lightly-fuzzing electronics, singing guitar and vocal harmonies.
Check out the Lake EP on his bandcamp below, full of minute rhythms and introspective hooks.
