GEORGETOWN — A lightning strike during Sunday afternoon’s storm is the likely cause of a barn fire, fire officials have said.

Firefighters to return to state forest Monday to finish off fire

ROWLEY — Firefighters from Salisbury to Hamilton have downed equipment for the night in their efforts to knock down fires in the Georgetown-Rowley State Forest.

The fire was called in late Sunday afternoon and firefighters found themselves tackling a number of fires.
