The one thing that could've made the whole thing cooler was if they had ridden a Delorean.
“I’m going to be very honest with you, Genny,” Charlie began as he looked around where they were. The nineteen year old had admittedly been excited to travel to the past albeit guilty since his father had been adamant against their decision to traverse through time. However, at the end of their arguments (which both his and his sister had very excellent opening, rebuttal and closing statements for), both Charlie and Genny made to the past. However, as he looked around, his brows furrowed with the slightest hint of annoyance, “I’m kind of disappointed that this was the time we had to travel to. You’d think they would have at least picked a more interesting era to break time-travel laws at.”
The journey to the past wasn’t for vacation - although, Charlie mused the idea of creating the first time-travel vacation business but ended up scrapping the idea because people are idiots in the end. There were a few time-travel anomalies to catch and possibly even one Inter-Dimensional Criminal that’s wanted on a few dimensions.
“At least, the invasion’s over,” Charlie said as he kicked over one of the loose rocks. He frowned as he remembered their current time, “Dad should be okay by now, right?”
