> Aloy had been tinkering with her focus, though she wasn’t like Sylens, she didn’t have the knowledge he did to actually change anything. It was only as she put the focus back on, did she see the strange figure before her. A human... but, a machine?
> Had she broken her focus? Slowly, she turned it off and back on, only to find that nothing had changed. Was this man really part machine? She’d grown up with machines that had minds of their own, machines that devoured biomass and killed. Machines that had grown increasingly violent as each day passed, but here, this man was merged with one.
> So far Aloy had hesitated, had bitten back her questions. Now, she refused to leave without answers. She strode towards him, her body tensed and her eyes curious as she observed him for signs of hostility. Her own posture clearly wary.
> “You,” She’d purposely kept distance between them, her eyes narrowed in uncertainty, “You’re part machine, how is that possible?” By this time, her tone was more exasperated than defensive, her limited knowledge of such technology deemed such a thing impossible. Though if it was, she wanted to know how they’d managed to tame and use the machines in such a way.
