i love the discussion of generations but r/generationology drives me crazy with their thoughts on the millennial-z borders and the ambiguity therein. i'm sorry but saying anyone who graduated pre-covid lockdowns is off-cusp z is insane

I do not intend to be snarky with this: most of gen z would have better mental health if they invested in a diary/journal. A place of your own to put your oddest/most angering/most unedited thoughts is much better than broadcasting them to potentially thousands of people who likely don't have your best interest in mind. Also no ads. You'll legitmately get better at forming your own thoughts and will have cherished memories in a big Document From Brain. In the age of intolerable discourse and "we should all know less about each other", you should still try to know yourself and that's the most entry level way to do it. It's also just better to work out what you believe on your own and a way to track your growth as a person. Literally endless reasons to start one.

Angry late night bashing my thumbs post but god gen z is so afraid of being vulnerable out of a fear of being cringe that it's honestly pathetic. You can talk about important/heavy things without eight layers of detached irony in a serious manner without a quip or reference every seven seconds. You will not die from getting embarrassed. Fucking shed a tear or something.
