Not only is a point in his character bc he’s always been proud but also bc that’s EXACTLY how him and Brenda started off -- solely together to get under Sonny’s skin (and Lois’s attention)

Despite how much I disliked the nature of Brenda’s 2010/2011 return, there was a few moments between Jax and Brenda that I’m really happy came to light such as:

• the fact that since they last saw each other (2003) Jax had been donating large sums of money to Brenda’s charity, apparently anonymously (with him being surprised she knew anyway)

• after this return, when Jax would sometimes go out of town, he would often go to Rome (with Carly making the revelation herself, that there’s only one person there he’d go to visit)

• Jax unabashedly paying attention to Brenda’s love life, referencing her brief relationship with Murphy

• “no one wears happy like you do”

• the fact that Jax immediately goes to Sonny and warns him off of trying to win Brenda back. yeah his motives and behaviour were questionable but he knew Brenda was in a vulnerable place and didn’t want Sonny taking advantage of that

• “so no regrets?” “well I wouldn’t say that”
