the part of the supergirl fandom that's into making fanworks and meta is definitely, on the whole, more into f/f ships, especially maggie/alex, kara/lena, and in s1, kara/cat, but I get the sense that the white m/f ships involving kara have a sizable following among... idk, less vocal or more casual fans, and kara/mon-el definitely has a vocal following atm, many of whom seem a bit salty that not everyone likes their ship/likes the dudely half of their ship

ooh okay. i can see that, i guess? but to me it seems more like a metaphor for racism and/or genocide, in which case mâgann pretending to be a green is sort of Yikes in the sense that sheâs assuming that identity without ever being able to understand the struggles and trauma that the greens experienced. to a certain extent, because of the very fact that she is a white martian, she is part of those traumas and i feel like she shouldnât be entirely erasing that by just appearing as a green all the time. gesturing to herself while saying âthis skin is beautifulâ itâs a nice message but itâs also sort of Weird. am i the only one who sees it this way?
