APNY 2016 Day 26

The crowd was awful when I saw her, too. :( Turned into the worst kind of mosh pit with folks getting trampled because no one would help them up because they wanted to get closer. Awful. Hope you had fun regardless, though!
A$AP Ferg actually encouraged moshing during the opener and I was too close to that, ugh. A fight had already happened during the start of his show (never found out why), and then later on he asks for two moshpits to happen at the same time. This one guy in front of me was freaking out, jumping around wildly and forcing me and everyone else close to him to shield our faces, but wouldn't go into the pit until I pushed him in because I was like fucking commit or stop.Ā
The concert was still so much fun though and M.I.A. didn't let us breathe until the encore.Ā
gemuetlichkeit a rĆ©agi Ć votre billet āAm I an asshole for not wanting to reply to someone who only messaged...ā
Totally not being an asshole or picky; a message like that takes no effort and shows that they're probably messaging randomly.
That's how I feel, so thanks for validating my beliefs lol. On the other hand I feel like I shouldn't be picky because I've literally gotten only two messages, neither of which have been any interesting/substantial/personal but that is OKC. ugh. I need to put on my big girl pants and start messaging people.

You can't just say that and not link. Ship?
I've tried looking but I believe the site it was on - I think it was on Mugglenet's fanfiction site - took it down after years of inactivity. It was a comedy from Ginny's diary during her fourth year. I think this was right after Half-Blood Prince came out.

Leaving the house in pajamas? No way, JosĆ©. Never ever! Then again, Iām sure thatās what the Parisian columnist said when she moved to this great, big, ruby red apple. But so far, Iāve stayed clear of that. What I have done ā and even this I swore Iād never do and itās painful to admit I have ā is leave my house in jogging pants. And not just any kind. I mean those typical, gray, comfy, cozy sweatpants, with a collegeās name printed in big letters down one leg. Yes, a usually well-dressed European girl left her house wearing a pair of those. But donāt get too excited ā I didnāt make it passed my corner, and I donāt intend on doing so anytime soon.
What I like about this article is how much I ā and I think my fellow abroad-living Europeans, too ā can relate to what she has to say. Going home and awkwardly lingering between a hug and two Bussis (the German equivalent of the French bises) when I greet my friends, is a small reminder that Iāve been gone for too long. My recurring surprise at how cheap everything is has started to annoy my friends, who feel Iāve turned into a snobby Manhattanite. But when a cocktail costs as much as a bottle of water from a Central Park hot dog stand, the university tuition fee is less than a cocktail at 230 Fifth, and a night on the town costs as much as a working lunch in my cubicle, itās easy to fall into a āOne of everything, please, because itās so ridiculously cheapā mode.
Besides everything seeming cheap, though, and also that only because I now live in one of the most expensive cities in the world, there are several other things that make me glow and let me know Iām home. Upon arrival at Viennaās horribly designed new airport, a trip to the bathroom is always my first stop, and serves as a pinch to make sure Iām not dreaming and that Iāve really arrived. And Iām not. There it is. Actual privacy in a space thatās meant to be private! No two inches of peephole space on the sides of the door, and no two feet at the bottom and top of the stall. If there were a camera in there, it would see me pee with a smile as big as a childās on Christmas. Yes, Iām home. Later, Iāll go for lunch where I wonāt have to wait to be seated, will be served by a rude waiter, will eat great bread and drink even better coffee, I will be surrounded by people speaking at a normal volume, old ladies walking dogs, and centuries of architectural history. And I wonāt be in a rush. I will have time. I will enjoy the unique Wiener Gemütlichkeit.
