Calcium, or whatever i end up calling her, isn’t found when she’s defending her tower, but rather it just kind of crumbles to stone behind her. For one reason or another she has a chain leading from her gem to a piece of rubble from the tower, ensuring she would never wander off. With no more tower to defend, Calcium picks up her chain and starts looking for her commanders to receive new orders. it’s revealed that not even Pearl is aware of what sh is, and Ruby isn’t aware of what she is, but sapphire does, and was somehow the first gem on earth out of the lot of them, before even Rose. and Sapphire refuses to remove the chain, and instead binds it to a heavier stone and throws it into an underground pool of some kind.

Little bit out of character for sapphire i think.

then again it also shows that Ruby is unusually good at digging, though i think that might be because i saw death battle: donky kong Vs Knuckles awhile ago and i somehow mixed the two small red things into ruby with Knuckle’s digging skills.
