Overlord

  Hometown: Garrus-9, Lost Light, Cyloa City (depending on when in the series)

  Extra Notes: Overlord was born mysteriously in a mine shaft. Two miners found him wandering near his exit hole. They tried to take him in themselves, but the Senate found out a Diamond had been born late. They forced Overlord to kill his own parents, threatening them with endless suffering if he didn’t. While Overlord found a twisted sense of love in killing, that day also began his hate of authority.

  Overlord was trained as an elite agent of the Senate. But then Megatron appeared and bargained for Overlord to be one of her agents. Overlord laid down a simple challenge: beat him, and he shall join. This ended up being the first time Overlord was poofed. But when Overlord rematerialized, it was as an her not a him. But the same twisted demenour remained.

  Overlord fought Megatron’s authority constantly, her form swapping from male to female and visa-versa with every poofing. While his-her skill made her-him worthy of a Six-Phaser, she could barely be controlled.

  She-he had many acts of rebellion... including kidnapping and learning from Trepan, a great metasurgeon (TF counterpart: mnenosurgeon). But then Megatron found out and forced Overlord to make the same decision she-he did in the mine shaft... leading to Trepan’s death.

  Overlord then heard about the Aquitas computer, and went to Garrus-9. Glad to be rid of a nuasance, Megatron ignored this, and it led to the suffering of many under Overlord’s “reign”.

  During that timeframe, Overlord had an epiphany. She-he released the pain and sickness he-she was causing, and it sickened her. From that day on, she turned Garrus-9 into a medical institution for the mentally unwell and cracked gems.

Perceptor

  Family, if Any: None, relationship with Brainstorm

  Birthplace: Iacon

  Hometown: Iacon

  Extra Notes: Perceptor was made to be a scientist, she was a scientist. The best one known ever. This was true throughout her whole lifetime... until a disastrous mission with the Wreckers.

  After a near-death experience, Perceptor decided to take her fate into her own hands. She figured out how to be a sniper, and quickly became the best. However, she developed a bit of a hard, emotionless shell.

This one’s kind of complicated because in the normal universe Nautica never went to Hedonia. Gemformers, it’s still debatable.

Nightbeat

  Weapon:Magnifying Glass with pop-out sawblade

  Family, if Any: None

  Birthplace: Ritchini (a small town near the Sea of Rust)

  Hometown: Ritchini

  Extra Notes: Nightbeat was born in the middle of nowhere, but she didn’t stay there. She was born with a curious mind that needed to solve everything and anything. Being near the Sea of Rust with multiple ruins, she had a grand ol’ time exploring.

  When the war began, Nightbeat was first neutral. Hired by Autogem, Deceptigem, and even the Forger in secret hired her to find secrets within the Sea of Rust and be a tour guide. She became quite rich from these adventures.

  When Cybertron was killed, Nightbeat had to pick a side. She chose Autogems because she had a friendship with Hardhead. But most of the time she spent alone, exploring planets and discovering mysteries.

  One of these nearly cost her her life. She was discovered and tortured by Nova Prime into a willing slave. After Nova was conquered, Nightbeat healed without any side effects. She doesn’t even remember, except for the occasional nightmare, what happened to her during Nova’s slavery. People think it’s something that must have affected her during her travels.

Rung

Data Sheet:

  Weapon:Spear

  Family, if Any: None, in a secret relationship with Skids

  Birthplace: Unknown, but is believed to be roughly the Pious Pools area

  Hometown: Pious Pools

  Extra Notes: Rung was created by the Forger as Primus, the first gem. Because of this success, the Forger gave Primus the ability to create life via the Matrixes she could create.

  But then came Adaptus’s Treachery (no, Adaptus is not White Diamond), and Primus became Rung, and easily forgettable. The Forger banished Adaptus, and helped his creation to hide in plain sight.

  Rung is one of the very few who have lived since the creation of the gems, through the Rose Rebellion, the Prince’s Return, and the Senate’s Rule. Rung ended up eventually as a psychiatrist, joining the Autogems as a war doctor. Though, secretly, she has treated those of both sides.

Nautica

Data Sheet:

  Gem Type:Pearl

  Weapon:None, but her all purpose wrench can double as a weapon

  Family, if Any: None

  Birthplace: Caminus

  Hometown: Lost LIght

  Extra Notes: Nautica was born on the Cybertronian colony of Caminus. Unlike most of his brethren on Caminus, Nautica was inately shy and didn’t have artistic talent. This led to the degrading nickname of “Naughty Nautica”, a name he tried to shave off by becoming a great quantum mechanic.

  When Thunderclash came to Caminus seeking help for the Titan Metroplex, Windblade called on Nautica to duty. Nautica gladly accepted, eager to make a name for himself. To fit in with the Cybertronian gems, he took a female form for a few months (pictured above). Since then, he’s returned to his male form.

  Now, on the Lost Light, Nautica is finding a safe place to finally be himself. He’s considered one of the best scientists on the ship. He’s made friends with Brainstorm primarily, but quite a few others as well.

Brainstorm

  Weapon: recently just got her first blaster, but is a horrible aim

  Family, if Any: None

  Birthplace: Unknown, but it’s believed to be roughly in the Iacon facility

  Hometown: Lost LIght

  Extra Notes: Swerve was born as a part of an illegal Kindergarten near Iacon. The Senate swooped in an killed all... Swerve was part of a small group that managed to escape. They pretended to be from a legitimate Kindergarten in order to blend into society. Swerve was discovered to have a knack for medicine, and became a doctor, despite her dream of being a barkeeper. But knowing if her secret ever got out, she would be shattered. So she developed a habit of hiding her bitness behind laughter and always chatting.

  When the war came around, Swerve nearly became a Deceptigems. But something about her Decepticon patients bugged her, so when the Autogems rose, she jumped on the bandwagon.

  She wasn’t much help in the war, refusing to be a medic. She mostly got outlying guard duty. The one exception was the time the DJD invaded the planet she was on... she couldn’t speak for days, terrified the DJD would come and destroy her, or one of her fellow Autogems.

Skids

Data Sheet:

  Gem Type:Quartz

  Weapon: None, but can turn anything into a weapon

  Family, if Any: None surviving, secret relationship with Rung

  Birthplace: Nova Crum

  Hometown: Unknown

  Extra Notes: Skids was originally born in the city of Nova Crum (also called Nova Clod). Kind of like the name suggests, it wasn’t a place for a gemling to be raised in reality, and both of Skids’ parents died when she was only 11.

  It was at that point, though, that she was found by Senator Shockwave. She was taken to the Academy of Scientific and Theological Studies (Also just known as Iacon Sub). Shockwave’s original plan was to find Skids a different set of parents, but quickly discovered that Skids had an unusual power... she could learn anything as quickly as one could reform. Skids was entered into the Outlier Program to help develop her abilities.

  When the war began, she started out as one of Optimus Prime’s Elite Guard. But after time, she broke off from the Guard and became a bomb negotiator. She was captured during this timeframe and taken to the prison camp Grindcore, and had an experience which broke her mind. She spent weeks as a corrupted gem monster, which was responsible for destroying Grindcore in the end.

  No one knows how Skids was healed, but in the end she returned to an humanoid form. It was at this point, Prowl forced her to join her ‘black ops group’, the Theorticians. It was during a mission with Tyrest that Skids’ gem was officially cracked, resulting in loss of multiple memories and a chaotic form.
