gcse tips from a girl who struggles 💕
• don’t put the pressure on yourself to get 9s- all i need to get to sixth form is level 5s, so i’m aiming for them, and will be happy with anything higher
• don’t force yourself to revise- i feel bad sometimes when i’m not revising, but my mum said something that helps- “there’s no use trying to force yourself to remember information if you don’t feel like it, so just revise when you feel like it, because you will remember things more easily”
• take breaks! watch your favorite show or film, go for a walk, drink some water, take a nap! do whatever makes you feel better, and you’ll thank yourself!
• if everything feels a bit too much, don’t worry! i know it’s hard, but if you can, talk to someone about your feelings, and try not to stress! i cuddle my mum and pets when i feel bad, and it helps me!
• if you are prone to self harm like me, please try to keep yourself safe! surround yourself with things that make you happy, and make sure you take any medication you need to feel a bit better! do distraction techniques that work for you, but don’t get mad at yourself if you have a blip, it’s perfectly normal!
