BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
As if growing up a short distance away from Salem, MA wasnât weird enough for Gavin, his parents owned their own funeral service. While his mother was the mortician, his father was the funeral director. To make matters worse, they made their home in the upstairs of the same building they ran the funeral home out of.
With all of that given, Gavin didnât exactly have the easiest time growing up. He was bullied a lot for being the âweirdâ kid constantly surrounded by death. His interests didnât make it any better. He poured himself into the works of Stephen King, Edgar Allan Poe, R.L. Stine, and Christopher Pike. He believed in all the spooky things - the ghosts, the vampires, the werewolves. It was all real in his mind.
He didnât exactly have many friends growing up, so he poured all of his free time into caring for animals. In between spending time with his childhood best friend (a black cat named Shadow), and volunteering at the local shelter, it was clear what Gavin was going to do with his life.Â
The moment he graduated from high school, he enrolled in college and set forward on making his dreams of being a vet tech a reality. He performed extremely well in his studies and graduated on time.
Shortly after graduation, he decided to seek adventures elsewhere and moved to Rocky View to live with his extended family (maternal auntâs family). The change in scenery was exactly what he needed.Â
In Rocky View, he was able to start over and make a name for himself. No longer was he the weird, harbinger of doom that his peers in Peabody made him out to be. In Rocky View, he could be his kind, nerdy self.Â
While heâs living the life his younger self dreamed of, he just couldnât leave the past in the past. Hence why he runs a paranormal and true crime podcast with his friend Carmilla.Â
