The last time I visited #garwinfalls it looked nothing like this. There was much less water. There were whole areas that I was able to walk across before. What was once a field with a stream going through it was now a river. The delicate falls had been transformed into raging, white water. I imagine this is due to the recent storm we had Sunday night. I know there was some flooding in New Hampshire. It was mesmerizing to watch. This clip worked perfectly for some water imagery I have in the #unwindingdocumentary that I've been editing all week. One of the great things about New England is the abundance of waterfalls around here. I've explored quite a few in Maine and still have many to go, and there are also a bunch in New Hampshire and Vermont I've missed. I was lucky enough to teach a workshop at Garwin Falls in Wilton, NH in the early summer of 2018 and had a blast with a great group of people. I love the peacefulness of a waterfall in the woods. The steady hum of the water cascading into the landing pool, the gentle breeze that comes through the trees. I love finding a new one and spending hours exploring it. Finding all of the angles and getting just the right shot.
