Bacon Garlic Green Beans are a delicious side dish that combines the smokiness of bacon with the savory goodness of garlic and perfectly cooked green beans. It's a simple and flavorful recipe that will elevate any meal.
Ingredients: 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed. 6 slices of bacon, chopped. 3 cloves garlic, minced. Salt and black pepper to taste. 1 tablespoon olive oil. 1 tablespoon butter. 1/4 cup chicken broth. 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional. Fresh parsley for garnish.
Instructions: Cook the chopped bacon in a big skillet over medium-high heat until it's crispy. Using a slotted spoon, remove the bacon and place it on a plate covered with paper towels. Butter and olive oil should be added to the same skillet. Add the minced garlic and saut it for about 30 seconds, or until it becomes fragrant, after the butter has melted. Season the skillet with salt and black pepper after adding the chopped green beans. Stirring occasionally, cook the beans for 2 to 3 minutes, or until they begin to blister and turn a bright green color. After adding the chicken broth, turn the heat down to medium. Once the beans are soft and crisp, cover the skillet and simmer them for about five to seven minutes. Add some red pepper flakes to the beans and stir to mix them in if you're feeling spicy. Add the crispy bacon back to the skillet and combine all the ingredients. Cook for a further two minutes to blend the flavors and reheat the bacon. Place the Bacon Garlic Green Beans onto a platter, sprinkle with parsley, and warm through.
