I had a dream that there was a "garfieldiverse" where it all stemmed from one evil Garfield who was an extremely smart housecat with godlike powers. He used these powers to seek four magical talismans together from across the world, merging them as one. The intention was to create an infinite army at his disposal to rule his world. Instead, it made its own expanding multiverse of Garfs he could not reach. Some evil, some good, some neutral. Some didn't even resemble the original. Some were mere copies with the smallest whisker of a detail changed. All were individual to their own sense.
One Garfield, an anthropomorphic pseudoscientist of her (yes, her) world, wakes with only small recollections of her life, and she is surrounded by a massive crowd of confused and frightened gathering Garfields. She does not know it, but she and the others have finally been gathered for a reason. She theorizes it is the work of the aliens she has spent her life chasing.
Behind the scenes, the original Garf is preparing for the storm of the century, working to take over.
