“Amir.”
“What, Nate.”
“I'm pretty sure Arvin needs you to go downstairs.”
Amir sighed, throwing his 3DS to the other side of his bed. “Alright, I'll be back soon. Don't ruin anything.”
Nate nodded, watchig as Amir walked out of the room after he threw on a sweater.
Once Amir disappeared, Nate smirked and looked around. He looked over at the only window in the bedroom, and floated over to it. Nate opened the window and slipped through and onto the roof.
There sitting on the edge was his brother, Daniel.
“Hey bro. How's Arvin?”
Daniel looked back at Nate, smiling. “Ah, she's doing well. She's not as sick as yesterday, which is good.”
Nate nodded in response. “Yeah.”
“How's Amir?”
“Better. Since he started going to a therapist he's not as flinchy and scared. He's warmed up to me pretty well.”
Nate walked over to his brother and sat on the edge with him.
Daniel slipped one of his arms around Nate, and hugged him. Nate hugged back tightly.
“We should hang out more often. Especially since the kiddos started school,” Daniel said suddenly. “Unless those jerks are still there and they still need us to help and protect them, that is.”
“Yeah, we really do.”
Nate and Daniel looked at the sunset for a couple more minutes. It was a normal sunset, but still beautiful. The way the sky looked at the horizon never got old.
Nate glanced at the watch on his wrist. It was almost seven.
“I should go back inside and help Amir get ready for tomorrow. Cya later, bro.”
Daniel nodded. “Alright.”
Nate jumped back through the open window and back into Amir's room, which Amir had just walked back in.
“Alright, kid, go eat dinner. I'll back your bag.”
“Sure thing, dude.”
