Well we know the feeling and here we list the top 5 nightmares of any organizer

1. Getting the numbers right

What a process ... 

‘Right, we need 14 people for this game, maybe we can have a decent game with 12 as well’

How do you get to find all these players? Phone-calls, emails, Facebook, Twitter, Viber, WhatsApp, texting, friend of a friend and the list goes on and on ...

2. Late drop outs

So, I finally got 14 players for today’s game. Game is on guys! Wait! I just got a text, 

‘John and his flatmate cannot make it any more!’

Back to step 1, till you have enough and you decide to go for a 6 a-side game instead.

3. People who turn up late

We have 12 confirmed players, and 5 to 6pm, 4 of us are at the pitch ...

We are sitting around, chatting till we get at least 8 (6.10pm ) and start playing a 4 a-side game, just to jog around and warm up. By 6.20pm we are 11, so we can have a 5 v 6 game for 40 minutes. Still waiting for 1 more to have a decent 6 a-side game ...

4. No shows

The last one eventually never turned up at the game and did not even bother to let us know .. 

5. Complains

We had a challenging 40 minutes 5 v 6 game, a bit unbalanced, a bit unfair for one team; but there you go. At least we had a game right?

Well no, you will always get a person not being happy. So who’s to blame? You of course for not organizing this game right.
