Game Inc is a browser based multiplayer game dev sim where you churn out games and sue rival companies for cash!

It sure has been a while since I last posted an original post so I’m a bit rusty <don’t judge me/> Lets start simple, Hello. And to the new comers welcome! Honestly I’m blown by the amount of growth this blog went through. I’m grateful to all of you who are joining me in this journey of code. I’m still working on the 180 project I started, I just needed a break and now I’m ready. I’ve set a date [witch is January 31st btw] to witch I’ll begin working on the project again. <please please hold me accountable to that/> Now that’s out of the way lets get to the gist witch is the title of the post

For a while now, I’ve been meaning to join any competition around code, but fear stopped me from actually pursuing it. I kept telling my self “I need to practice more” “I’m not ready yet” “I just need to master this” “I need to learn that” and if you get down to it, Yes, they’re all a bunch of excuses to not do anything. <do any of you do the same?/> This year however, I’m not having none of that. So I bought a ticket, told my friend we’re joining [seriously having another person with you will stop you from backing out], and took the bus to Washington. At the beginning it didn’t really sink in that it’s actually happening. It only kick in once they announced the theme. I made a mini video documenting the experience. You can see the high, the lows, the struggle to stay awake. It was brilliant [well for the both of us at least] If you can spare 15 minutes of your day or maybe you’re bored. have a look at our stupid faces]    

All in all it was a wonderful experience to witch it got me thinking why did I run away from these experiences to begin with? Anyways, I’m defiantly joining next year! If you’re interested, here’s the game we developed [remember we just did this in 2 days so please be nice] 

Calico is an adorable game which sees you renovating a cat cafe in a magical kingdom filled with lots of cute little cats to play with (or wear on your head)

Galaxy Champions T.V. is a super fast paced twin stick arcade shooter that draws inspiration from Smash T.V. as you blast enemies, collect cash and level up with stackable upgrades while travelling through a network of deadly kill rooms.

Timeless plays like a 2D side-scrolling SUPERHOT, with time only moving when you do and each level is a self contained puzzle that sees you attempting to kill everyone without getting hit once.

Total Tank Simulator is a very impressive physics based military sandbox in which you can orchestrate epic battles between hundreds of units, all of which you can jump in at any time take individual control of on the battlefield.

Distrust is a tense John Carpenter’s The Thing-inspired survival horror adventure set in an Artic research base, in which you deal with fatigue, lack of sleep, hallucinations and a terrifying force that sucks the life from people as they sleep.
