The Japanese Game Boy Printer manual has this cute anthropomorphic version of the printer isn't that adorable :D
Also the boxart on the Japanese Game Boy Camera is stellar AND the inside is decorated with pictures of....the thing that came in the box xD I dunno, that's pretty funny isn't it?
And can we appreciate how the o in Pocket is the camera lens? Nintendo Japan was really going all out on such an amazing peripheral!
Because original Game Boy Printer paper is so damn expensive and does not work anymore after 20 years I bought cash register rolls and cut them to size on my band saw. The print quality is not very good but I don’t know if it is because of the paper (thickness) or the printer itself. This is the first time I had thermal paper in order to test the printer.
I bought 5 rolls for 15€ and they are 80mm wide and 80m long. I have to cut it about in half to make it fit into the printer. So I have enough printing paper to print all year long without a pause.
