So we just finished watching Ant-Man right? Like it was fucking great. I really fucking loved it. Several times I actually forgot I was watching one of these super hero type movies because it was so funny and.. it seemed like a different kind of humor than the other Marvel films? (don’t wanna say too much on that because I’m not really..I don’t know much about them).. It just somehow felt like a different kind of humor yaknow?

But so... hearing you and Daniel talk about it was cool because there was definitely things I didn’t really feel throughout the movie and things I didn’t pick up on that you guys did and stuff so it’s nice hearing about all that..

I came home and was gonna read up on reviews because.. well, I like doing that. It’s nice hearing the different opinions and whatnot..,But I think this is one of the rare instances where I think ignorance is bliss. I realized that it’s been a while (excluding Dope, because that was a great fucking movie too) where i was actually really, really, really happy with it... and because of that.. I really don’t want to read the reviews. Like idk. I had a little battle going on in my head whether it was dumb or not to.. not read other people’s perspectives on the movie because it’s like why not yaknow? But idk.... If I enjoyed it so much.. why ruin it? Like why read OTHER people’s reviews on them because humans are wired to have their opinions influenced by others and if my raw reaction to the movie was that I loved it... why search for reasons not to love it? 

I don’t know. I believe that. I definitely do believe that it’s okay to not listen to what critics are saying..... but at the same time.. I feel bad because I hate the whole “my opinion is my opinion, fuck your opinion, not gonna listen to that shit” kinda mentality yaknow?
