Around Thanksgiving I started having some serious pain and nausea, enough to go to the ER. Couldn't find the problem then, so went home with super-duper pain killers and a couple other "just in case" meds. Pain was pretty constant, but had another severe attack about a week before Christmas. Finally, after New Years, got some tests done. An ultrasound showed my gallbladder was "abnormal" and "filled with sludge". So, more tests! A HIDA scan at the hospital tracked how the organ was functioning - which it wasn't. At all. It was determined the best course of action was to remove the gallbladder. So a week ago, I was in the hospital for surgery. Was released the next day after they got my pain under control with the right meds. Feeling better now, but still in a lot of pain between pills. But the good news is: I'm alive, and I'll be back to posting and reblogging and Minecrafting with y'all very soon :)
