Ribbon Day, was it? These types of holidays where people openly express their feelings wasn’t exactly his style. Though he supposed it was more subtle this way when the color of the ribbon spoke for him. He never could outright say it. The words never did get past his throat or stayed stuck in there, never to be spoken. So he guessed there was some appeal to it.
However, he was never really forward with these things. Even if he were alone with the person, with no one else to see them, he preferred if he can just leave a gift set out somewhere to be easily found while he’s off hiding away; possibly watching from a distance or not watching at all. He’ll know if he found his little gifts or not. Including if they knew it was him that left it behind.
Yuri wasn’t planning on getting involved in such a holiday and it’s festivities, but he hadn’t expected Rose to be joining him in his solitude with Repede at his side to enjoy the peace and quiet. In her hands were a bundle of colorful ribbons. He arched his eyebrow, looking at her with curiosity.
“Is the great and mighty Rose planning on giving everyone a ribbon?” A crooked smirk is plastered on his lips, expecting Rose to give a ribbon everyone in the Sparrowfeathers, but she had other plans for the ribbons she held. The others had already gotten their ribbons, including Repede! His companion must have received his earlier, but Rose had surprised him and extended out her handful of ribbons to the vigilante. Was this... All for him?
That was... Well... Rather touching.
“Flattery will get you no where, Rose. You’re not planning to get my guard down, are you?” He teases, but Rose answers back with a laugh and a punch to his shoulder. Her actions were genuine. He knew that much, but now he had to answer back and he can feel himself growing flustered at the thought of tying the ribbons to Rose, but forcing himself to keep a calm exposure.
“... Mind if you close your eyes?” There’s a calming yet serious sense to his voice, and Rose already know what he means. If she didn’t trust him, then she wouldn’t have willingly closed her eyes. Though it would take more than dropping her sight to let her guard down.
A moment’s pause as he ponders where to put each ribbon. There were seven in total, but he can’t help but be amused by the thought of how gaudy she’d look if he put ribbons all over her. That would be quite a sight, but he has already decided where he wants the ribbons.
He ties one ribbon to the other, linking them together to create one long ribbon except for one. Then he stands behind her, tying the handmade ribbon choker around her neck carefully. It was tight enough to stay, but not too tight to choke her. The red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, and white decorated her neck.
As for the last... The ribbon as dark as shadows themselves, is now tied snuggly around the handle of her left dagger. He chose the left one for a reason, but he was sure she would know when she saw it.
To signal that he was done, he gently knocks her forehead with the back of his hand.
