Why do y’all keep saying “Ian’s redemption arc” as if he’s some kind of a villian or a monster. They are becoming this mature, grown up couple that actually talks about their feelings, TOGETHER. That couple that DOES something about it.

Ian doesn’t need no redemtion arc. that’s not how it works in a relationship where two adults always wanted & always will be to be together. It just wasn’t the right time before: either Mickey’s wasn’t free or Ian was really really sick & couldn’t handle it. Hell, even in 7x11 I get why Ian couldn’t go with him! They couldn’t be free & Ian still had his job, he still needed meds (he’ll need to take them his whole life), he was stressed out about it. It’s a big decision.

But now it is finally the right time for both of them. They are finally equal in this. They are not kids anymore. They are ready.
