I love supporting women in leadership roles and those who give back to make the world a little bit better. My good friend Lisa asked me do a bridal trial this night and to help prep her for a Gala for Young Vietnamese American Leaders. I was touched when she presented the Mary Tran Passion into Action Scholarship to a female Asian American student. She wanted to advance women in a male dominated field, and to honor her late mother's journey from Vietnam to America, while pursuing a career in electrical engineering.
