Oh my huge and kind and sad boy. Get ready for the weirdness that is poetry in my second language.

Ok what I did was a poetic retelling of the story of Galahad (the ravenant, of the Raven) and Tahiel (the necromancer, shadow whisperer). It has all the beats, including that time in which they failed so hard at communication that Galahad almost served as a gate for Mallyx to enter the world. Dramatic boys there.

Galahad/Tahiel (Galahiel): Normal but chaos enabler/Chaotic with a soft spot. Tahiel es >:3c incarnate, poor plantboi cant keep his hands from creating mischief whenever he goes. Also breaking the rules. And being a total tsundere. He needs to be stopped and can only be stropped by the cuddles of his sweet thicc norn husband. Who enables him. Mostly bc he is too soft.

Canach/Irene (Carene): Bastard with a crush/Accidental bastard magnet. Irene is too good, too kind, too soft, showing good things to people who don’t deserve them (and Canach does not. He is an all-out jerkass before he gets his ass kicked). I am glad Canach got better, otherwise h would be a boring sassy jerk, instead of the extremely entertaining sassy jerk we all love.

Arlen/Naoise (Arloise): Reclusive pessimist/Bold optimist (who is more powerful). Arlen has lived a horrific number of traumas, and is both really shell-shocked and mistrustful. Naoise is a soft kind flower in communion with nature and the Dream. He is also the Dreamchild of a Firstborn and a Godslayer, so he can and will support his dearheart with optimism and laser beams of pure sunlight while uwuing.

Giralein/Gialinn (GiraLinn): Best friends (with the bonus of childhood friends). Even if the sylvari have no childhood, they have been together ever since forever, being part of the other’s dream and I made them bc I love classic fairytales so don’t judge me ok?

So @disaster-bi-canach rebbloged THIS post and I felt the UNBEARABLE NEED TO DRAW. Which is something that happens every 5 years or so.

How did they they meet?

During Heart of Thorns, Tahiel was assigned to investigate the disappearance of a Vigil prisoner on their way to Fort Marriner, and Galahad begged to be assigned to aid as well, as he felt like Gixx kept him as an antiquity rather than a proper member of the Durmand Priory. Tahiel wasn’t thrilled, and was very dismissive of him as he told him he wasn’t in need of a “babysitter”. When Tahiel’s hubris almost got him killed at the hands of the guild Modus Sceleris, Galahad had to jump in to his aid, which earned him Tahiel’s trusts at last. He was still very much a jerk tho.

Who developed romantic feelings first?

Galahad was the first one to fall, mostly because Tahiel is part of the Lost Generation of sylvari and is, still, a bit undercooked, especially on the emotional department. That made Galahad suffer greatly, and even drove him almost to death.

Who is their biggest “shipper?”

Irene helped Galahad a great deal once she returned from Maguuma, but resented Tahiel because of how he treated him. She is extremely happy they worked it out, tho.

Canach is also very proud of his son because when he was a twink he also wanted a big, hairy norn to boss around. He’ll never tell him that tho.

When did they have their first kiss and under what circumstances?

After Tahiel managed to break Galahad free from Mallyx’s grasp, Lorenzo told him to make him questions to make sure he was on his right mind, and that the ritual had worked. Instead, Tahiel just went up and smooched Galahad throwing away all precaution.

Who confessed their feelings first?

Galahad did, as they seemed to be reciprocated. Tahiel replied with a “Why”.

What was their first official date?

Tahiel helped Galahad regain his health during the whole process, so they spent a lot of time together and even slept together, but with no extras, just cuddling, as Galahad was too weak.

How do they feel about double dates/group dates?

They’re alright, tho Tahiel prefers to be alone.

What do they do in their down time?

Tahiel just talks a lot about all the things he has learned about Trahearne, and tries to learn more about his feats as he never got to meet him -except during a dream, where Trahearne showed him visions of the Zhaitan campaign and gave him his Wyld Hunt-. Him and Galahad often raid the Priory’s library and study very hard!

What was the first meeting of parents as an official couple like?

Galahad’s parents are... well, dead. They died about 80 years ago during an Icebrood attack. Tahiel helped Galahad clean up their burial site of Svanir, and accompanied him as he mourned them.

What was their first fight over and how did they get past it?

After Galahad confessed and Tahiel was a very cold jerk about it, Galahad took it as if they were nothing at all, since that was what Tahiel thought as well. So he accepted a... uhm, proposal coming from the disaster non-husbands, Caesar and Joseph. Once Tahiel heard of it, he punched Caesar so hard he almost broke a finger, and faced a temporary suspension when Almorra didn’t accept his resignation.

When Tahiel was absent from Pact missions, Galahad felt responsible, and sought revenge on the Svanir that occupy The Barrowstead, which as I said, almost kills him. He had to be contained and kept under a nullify magic spell, as the Pact called Tahiel in once more because of his talents as a necromancer.

He saved Galahad and realized his mistake, and that he very much loved Galahad as well. They have been together ever since.

Which one is more easily made jealous?

Tahiel. I think it’s obvious(?). He doesn’t anymore tho, as he knows Galahad’s heart belongs to him and him only.

What is their favourite thing to get to eat?

Galahad cooks a marvelous roasted dolyak and Tahiel loves to be pampered.

Who’s the cuddly one? What their favourite cuddling position?

Galahad is very cuddly, and will hug Tahiel the whole night. Which is great, because Tahiel gets cold easily, and will cling to Galahad for warmth during the night.

Are they hand holders?

Galahad is a huge sap and will try to keep contact with Tahiel as much as he can. Tahiel is a bit more dettached, but appreciates it.

How long do they wait before sleeping together for the first time? What’s the circumstances?

They wait almost a year, I think! They were left alone in Lake Doric, specifically on Melandru’s secret temple, to collect unbound magic, because Tahiel was just reincorporating himself on active duty and Galahad was still a bit weaker than usual. Tahiel was very displeased about being left out of the action once more, and just dropped somewhere to rest up. They ended up kissing, and one thing led to the other, and Tahiel learned his huge, soft boyfriend is also a huge, soft bottom.

Who tops?

Tahiel. It doesn’t matter the position. Topping is something that comes from within(?)

What’s the worst first they’ve ever gotten into?

Their first mission together was almost a complete disaster, but they managed to succeed anyway. Still, Tahiel didn’t get his promotion.

Who does the shopping and the cooking?

Galahad, since all Tahiel can do is Pact rations and war equipment-related innuendo.

Which one is more organized and prone to tidiness?

Both are, Tahiel because of his martial background and discipline, Galahad because he’s a good boy.

Who proposes?

Galahad does! Once they get to Siren’s Landing, Tahiel discovers his Wyld Hunt and feels complete at last. Upon seeing him so in control and purpose at last, Galahad believes is the best moment to finally propose, with a ring designed by Kyrie for the alliance between Norn and Sylvari for her and Trahearne.

Do they have joined Bachelor/Bacheloette parties or separate?

Everything happens so fast there isn’t a lot of time for that. They went partying together with friends, but it was mostly a quiet celebration.

Who is the best man/maid of honour? Any other groomsmen or bridesmaids?

They made a mix of Sylvari and Norn tradition. Galahad had Kyrie Sirhasi be his witness, and Tahiel had Caesar Zeppeli be his -in an incredible power move-.

Big Ceremony or Small?

It was a fairly small and private ceremony, mostly consisting on guildmates. It was gorgeous tho.

Do they have a honeymoon? If so, where?

They spent their time in Siren’s Landing, aiding the settlers and cleansing the land.

Do they have children? How many?

“May Raven guard you.”

Traditional Norn farewell phrase, specifically said by Raven devotees and Havrouns. Usually said to friends, lovers or spouses who go out on dangerous hunting trips.

Raven devotees are said not to fear death, for dying while hunting a mighty beast is a feat worthy of song and praise. But to invoke Raven’s name means to wish the loved one not only a safe travel in the living world, but also for their spirit to be guided towards the Spirit’s Lodge if a disgrace ever comes to them, to be reunited forever in the Mists at the end of their lives.
