"Suffer No Fools"
Thursday, 06/07/2018. 02:00 A.M. The fourth song from "Zenith" is probably the most confrontational. "Suffer No Fools" is written with an angry tone, the lyrics almost cursing the transgressor by wishing them to bite their tongue every time the singer's name is spoken. It's a song about being fed up and leaving behind those who would use you or take you for granted. I think my favorite aspects of this song are the marching beat and the simple structure. Strange I'm satisfied To think I've made you cry I always try to rise And grow more kind and wise But behind my eyes I was torn up badly inside And now you’ve denied me twice And I'm thrice less as nice (Chorus) I suffer fools for no one Give them time? Well, I have none! Say my name And bite your tongue Because I, because I, because I Have no time for fools, none Your mind tricks I accept, twist them and send them back I bet you're wondering who Am I to judge poor you You self-declared fool Shot yourself right in the foot Now that I can see truth I have no time for you (Chorus) What you have sought You will not find here My rage has wrought Horror and fear Now run for your lives I've eaten all your lies And turned them into venom To spit right in your eyes (Chorus)
