4 sets of 450 lbs x 10 reps (I'm 4.11 and 118 lbs at my heaviest time of the month). I have a nagging piriformis injury that won't let me free squat heavy so I got to resource to this. And because they didn't keep in mind short (aka bad ass) people when they built these machines, I run into all kind of issues. My legs are too short so I need a pad and this machine is clanky and can easily disappoint you when you are at failure, so it's a bit of a scary thing. Nevertheless, this was a PR for me today. Big you want to get, heavy you must lift. And progress that zhit every week. One more rep, 5 lbs heavier. No need to switch things up. Otherwise, how do you keep track of your progress? Of course, I love to hear the "experts" on the debacle about "you don't need to lift heavy. Just to challenge the muscle." I've never seen any of these people with big muscles. Never.
