@growafricanhairlong Wash and go series part 1. A wash and Go on natural African hair is very cute but like any other hairstyle it does have its pros and cons. In this part of this three part series i will let you in on how I achieve my wash and go's for perfect curl definition. SHAMPOOING: I find that my hair responds to any form of styling much better when it is clean and to get my hair clean I do use sulfate based shampoos on a weekly basis or every two weeks. CONDITIONING: For a wash and go using a protein based conditioner and a conditioner containing glycerin will give your hair structure, define the curls and coils and leave your hair very moisturized. STYLING: I spray on a mixture of water, glycerine and apple cider vinegar.(glycerine for moisture and acv for shine because it flattens the cuticles making the hair shiny) Lastly I apply my home made Flaxseed gel onto smaller wet sections. My hair shrinks a lot! So after it air dries I take my afro comb and stretch out the roots a little bit. This gives more volume.
