Been turning your "Vox surrounds himself with creatives because he can't show his own vulnerability" post in my head. A lot of Vox's songs are reprises and Brighter uses a lot of phrases and cliches rather than him making up his own lyrics
YES EXACTLY THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT
Because Vox IS super talented as an individual but he builds his success by borrowing other artists' vulnerability and creativity. He'll put his face and his voice to the art other people make to give the illusion of his vulnerability without actually BEING vulnerable.
This is true even in his life; Vox didn't kill his way to the top because he couldn't make it on his own merits, he did it because he wanted the success and attention without giving any part of himself to the audience. His career was a persona down to the very last moment and it's very likely that, just like his relationships with the Vees, his personal relationships were a persona too.
