heh…just a glimpse into how italian my mind has become

“Big Dave” aka this long-tenured waiter who works at Strega, the restaurant Will and friends seem to go to in Boston’s North End. This restaurant seems to attract celebrities of various levels (locals vs actual) and he’s essentially the liaison who deals with them and also does social media stuff.

Strega is owned by the same family as My Mother’s Cutlet. Like most Italian areas in major cities, you have a handful of families who basically run it all behind the scenes. Strega and other associated restaurants are part of this. I actually ate at My Mother’s Cutlet when it first opened and met the guy who owns all of it - he was nice, albeit looked very exhausted. Anyway, Boston has about five families in the North End running everything!
