YZ & G.Rock | I'm In The Party | 1989
Hailing from Trenton Hills, New Jersey, YZ made his name known in the early 90s with songs like ''Thinking Of A Masterplan'' and ''In Control Of Things''. Those two songs, plus a third called ''I'm In The Party'', had been recorded by YZ and his friend G.Rock (with whom he had formed a small group called Too Def with third member Tink) at a label in Trenton called Diversity in 1989. The B-Side ''Thinking Of A Masterplan'' became real big after Marley Marl made it the theme for his 'In Control Rap Show'. Next year, YZ signed to Tuff City and the two songs were included in his classic debut album ''Sons Of The Father'', released when he was only 17 years old.
