Sony Pictures Animation: okay we'll give them a badass female protagonist with two female friends who face adversity by her side. we'll kill the guy who we would usually make the love interest cause the fandoms always end up shipping characters in queer relationships. who's gonna care about the straight relationship we planned anyway?
