adidas Yeezy Foam Runner Sand Will Be Making A Return In A Few Months

The adidas Yeezy Foam Runner Sand was without a doubt one of the most controversial and most talked about sneaker drops of 2021. Arguably one of the most popular colorways of the model, this Sand iteration of the model is slated to make a return later on this year.

Much like all other colorways of the model, design details on this Foam Runner include a molded slip-on construction made from a unique foam compound that blends lightweight EVA with harvested algae. This Sand makeup consists of a monochromatic finish throughout the entirety of the shoe. The sculpted lines evoke a futuristic aesthetic, whereas the oval cut-outs make these super breathable.

The adidas Yeezy Foam Runner “Sand” Releases On March 26th

Whether or not the masses have fully accepted the eclectic silhouette that is the adidas Yeezy Foam Runner, the clog-like silhouette has been slowly building its roster of offerings. After unveiling the marbled “MXT Moon Grey” earlier this month, the Foam Runner returns to its tonal roots with a “Sand” arrangement.

Similar to the debut “Ararat” colorway, “Sand” is yet another neutral color option that aligns with the brand’s signature earthy color palettes. The model is constructed of a single piece of material that’s composed of harvested algae and adidas EVA. While the holes found throughout the design have led to comparisons to Crocs, the wavy ridges and indents draw inspiration from the adidas Yeezy Boost 700—specifically the line’s midsoles.

A release date of March 26th and a $75 retail price tag has been confirmed; more details are yet to come regarding the drop.

Nowadays, conversations related to the being formerly known as “Kanye West” are largely centered around his personal life. The 44-year-old however, continues to deliver fodder for the sneaker community, unveiling more restocks and new launches from his adidas Yeezy empire.

As spring and summer inch closer, the ever-divisive, but breathable Yeezy Foam Runner has surfaced in a healthy mix of old and new styles. Recent “Stone Sage” and “Mist” colorways have helped expand Ye’s dominance in footwear, setting the stage for re-releases like the “Sand” one. First seen on March 26th, 2021, the “Sand”-colored Yeezys is expected to return for the second time in June. As the first widely-available drop of the slip-on model, the pair has quickly sold out both times it’s released, with countless fans preferring it’s clean, off-white style to the more experimental options that have followed it. The shoes’ design appears untouched on the reissue, with the two-piece, algae-donning construction maintaining its standard shape and arrangement. Pricing, however, has increased since the Foam Runner debuted, with the upcoming drop arriving at a slightly-higher $90 USD (no longer $80 USD for adult sizes).
