#future things

I really don't plan much if I'm honest. Since I draw for myself and my creative productivity is based on my mood and interest in the subject I'm drawing I doubt I could ever do commissions full time. That being said there are a few things I would like to work on in the future. I'm also not an artist who can work on multiple pieces at one time, I have a hyper focus when it comes to art and once I lose it I probably won't finish a piece.

What are you working on?

There's not much as I've said I can't focus on too much at once.

Solavellan piece(shocking I know) it stole my focus.

Leilah Lavellan with her Wolf, a companion piece to a painting Matt Rhodes did of Solas for Veilguard.

Perpetually ongoing fleshing out of Leilah's story.

Future Projects:

Finishing up Leilah's character sheet.

Fleshing out side characters in Leilah's story and advisors for Asaren's (my Rook) in VG.

I would like to do some sketch portraits for my fellow Solavellan lovers but I'm unsure how to go about it tbh.

The prone and battered form before her let out a pitiful whine, to which PJ rolled her eyes, “God you’re pathetic, how do you expect to rule anything if you can’t even stand on your own?”

Silence. Then weakly, “…I-I am Gzar, I… I have armies that will…”

“Armies?” PJ made a show of looking around the forest clearing, “I see no armies.” Soft fluttering aloft, she smirked upward at the gathered birds of prey, “Well, except for mine.”

A vulture hissed from above, she squinted a warning at it. Patience.

The man struggled to raise his head from the dirt. “It is… by right, by my right, that I rule!” He finally met her eye, she saw desperation in it.

“Oh, I’m quite familiar with that right, the right of blood,” PJ remarked, stepping forward and forcefully planting the sword in the ground between them. The sudden motion made Gristol flinch, much to PJ’s delight. Gripping the handle tight, she knelt down to his level. “But tell me, Gristle, are you familiar with the right of conquest?”

The briefest flash of indignation at the demeaning nickname she had for him, Gristol gritted his teeth, “My name-“

“It means,” PJ cut him off, “that when one defeats the ruler of a territory, then that place becomes theirs. Soooo,” she singsonged while flashing a Cheshire grin, “seeing as I’ve thoroughly kicked your ass, guess that makes me the new Gzar of Grulovia!”

That seemed to do it.

“No!” Gristol pulled himself up, wiping the blood from his lip, “Grulovia is mine!”

“Then prove it!” PJ turned with a flourish of her cape, the sword left for the Gzarevitch to take up. She paced back across the forest arena.

Crows cawed as PJ pivoted, just as Gristol managed to pull the sword from the ground. Excellent. She reached up into the shifting mass of branches of her dowser, a mockery of the Grulovian crown, and snapped off a long curved spine.

Seblos future headcanons [with child version]

- Long distance relationship at college, which is a lot for both to handle. They suffer a heartbreaking but mutual breakup summer before junior year of college, but are reunited by a meddlesome drama family in the summer before senior year.

- First drama relationship to become engaged, but second to be married, thanks to a unexpected elopement by EJ and Gina.

- As twenty-somethings, the first apartment they rent in New York is a run down studio with dripping pipes. Seb refused to allow Carlos’ parents to help them with getting anything better. Until they both become ill over winter, and ask for some help to at least find somewhere with heating.

- Broadway, enough said.

- Neither broach the idea of children until their wedding, when one of Seb’s older sisters offers as a present to be a surrogate. They decide to accept a couple of years later, deciding they would love the opportunity to become parents.

- Melody, their only child. Carlos’ female doppelgänger, but who inherits the Matthew-Smith eyes and smile.

- At the age of three, Melody declares she is going to be on Broadway. Big Red wonders how they cloned a female version of Carlos so perfectly.

- Seb taught her the piano, Carlos taught her how to dance. They both taught her to be whoever she wanted to be, and how to be herself.

- Was the cousin who spent holidays running around on the Matthew-Smith family farm in a pair of Wellington Boots and a disney princess dress. She never cared about getting dirty, and never could convince her papa Carlos to let her take her favourite Sheep [Tiny Tim] back home to New York.

I fully realize it is Thursday and not Wednesday, but I wanted to share:

“If I say yes, what will you give me?” 

Jaime is astounded by her daring. She is only a girl from a small island. This is not her place. He is the seasoned commander. His family’s lives and reputation--their legacy--at stake. Studying her face, he wants to find those blue eyes of hers icy, cold. It would be easier to declare her a monster, like Aerys, someone mad with power. 

But her eyes are beautiful. There is a warmth in them and something else, something which he likes despite himself. 

When she looks at him, it’s as if she has known him all his life, like she can see through all the layers--the act of being a dutiful son, the hidden hurt whenever he’s called Kingslayer, the man who plays along with Westeros’ politics but who cares not a whit for any of it. 

It’s impossible that she would know him so well. They’ve only just met. And yet, he is not dead, not lying in some cell maimed, not in irons. He is not held there in any way.
