Alright folks, this is a PSA for those that do not know yet! If you play BDO, and plan to in the next.. lets say year to be safe? Then this is for you.
Crystals and You: New Crystals Are Coming and they are fucking amazing!
They are stronger versions of the currently strongest crystals in the game - and require said strong crystals.
These are the new types I’m talking. They are all made in the same way: 1 Forest Fury - which isn’t out yet and is a kamasylvia region only item, 1 Black Magic Crystal of the type you are trying to enhance, and 10 magical shards.
Take note of my screenshot at the top. See how I had a shit ton of these shitty cheap crystals? Yeah. Any yellow quality Black Magic Crystal can be heated into magical shards. See where I’m going with this?
Lets take Cobelinus for example:
It boosts one of the stats that is part of the original crystal. So either HP, Weight or DP for BMC Cobe. This sounds great right?
WELL THE FUN DOESN’T STOP HERE!!!
The above crystals are all the ones that can be changed. Upgraded if you will. Check them out on the database yourself! :D
There’s also going to be these awesome crystals, that you cannot sell, and can only purchase from the cash shop. I know, I know, it sounds pay2win....and in a way it kind of is. Considering you ONLY can get them from the cash shop makes it kind of annoying and clearly a money grabbing scheme, but its also a Quality Of Life change for us.
These crystals give the effects of specific costumes. See below just one of them:
Da-Dum and desert camo is included in the above list as well. The Da-Dum gives 30 seconds breath and faster swim speed - like the costume, desert camo only gives the debuff resistance. Venia is the Velia riding outfit and gives 20% horse exp, Venecil is the processing outfit and gives increased chance to successfully process. Splat Fisher gives +1 fishing and faster swim speed.
But this is not where the crystals stop!
This is the craftable one. So, basically, you can get any of the craftable outfits, turned into a cash shop costume, then turned into a crystal for another costume to hold.
Speaking of costumes slots, there’s going to be a collectable that, after getting three of them(base market price roughly 1.2 mil silver on special deals), you ...heat them? I think its heat them, together and it gives you the claw of.. something.. that when heated with the chest piece of a costume, gives it a costume slot.
Phew! That’s a lot of shit to take in! I’ll be posting this at a later date, so if you’re reading this; Now is the time to be prepping. Especially considering its RNG whether or not you actually get the crystals you want. Hoping for the 150 HP crystals imo. mmm more hp... Maybe the damage reduction ones though.. so many choices!!
