Febuwhump Day 22
Morning came round rapidly. Danny, Joel and Harris had finally managed to link the IP address from Calvinâs email to a computer about 50 miles south of the base. They had put together a targeted assault of the area, planned ingress and egress routes and had a team on standby waiting for the go-ahead.
Danny had taken the finalised plan to his commander and was waiting for news. Danny sat in his office, the minutes ticking by so slowly. Harris across from him, she drummed her fingers anxiously on the wood. Joel paced back and forth, angry at the higher ups who âcouldnât organise a piss up in a brewery, never mind a fucking assault missionâ as they waited to hear if they had the green light.Â

The night had also passed in a rapid blur for Darius and AJ. They had spent the first hour removing the nails from each other and wrapping the wounds with a t-shirt they had torn into strips. At first Darius had tried to be gentle, but that had hurt AJ more. Eventually they each had bitten into a strip of cloth, whilst the other had quickly yanked the damn things out.Â
They had spent the rest of the night speculating on if they really were going to get split up that day or just more of Calvinâs bullshit. They had held onto each other and reminisced about their childhood. They had dozed, each one scared to move incase it woke the other.
They were mostly silent as the first sounds of activity filled the general area. Workers coming in to start the day. They sat together and watched the activity outside, talking in low whispers.Â
âI still think Calvin is full of it, thereâs no way they would send you to WRU when they still have this experiment to runâ, AJ muttered.Â
âI think the collar and the r-rapist suggest otherwise.â
âBut that could have just been all a ploy? Iâm not diminishing what happened to you Darius, not at all. Just what if itâs been set up to mess with our heads?â
âI dunno, the bodyguard seemed convincing, telling me to call him master and all that. I guess weâll know soon enough.â Dariusâ breathing hitched as he tried to take a deep breath. AJ noticed and wrapped an arm round his shoulders, his heart hurt as his brother flinched at the contact.Â
Two hours later they had their answer. Loud bangs and sounds of fighting had echoed down the corridor leading to their cell. The brothers both stood, military training kicking in. More shouts, closer this time, they could hear a woman swearing. There was a scuffle and the sound of hurried boots running toward the commotion. A deep male voice yelled, a thud and a yelp followed. Darius and AJ stood by the door, they looked at each other, hope shined in AJâs eyes as he whispered to Darius.
âOur teamâŠâŠ theyâve found us.â
Darius didnât reply, he didnât want to get his own hopes up. He was still listening with a predatory focus, trying to work out what was happening a few meters down the hallway. The silence stretched. The brotherâs tension rose, hope warring with anxiety. Darius jumped as loud gunshot rang down the corridor, another followed a second later. More feet moved toward them and a final shot echoed in the otherwise silent hallway. Â
They strained to see out the cell door and round the corner, adrenaline raced as they waited for a friendly face to appear.
Finally a face rounded the corner. Daruis felt the world drop out from under him. AJ sank to his knees with a sob.
âNo. No, no, no.â He gasped. AJ tried to not spiral, he had truely thought they had come, and now he was breaking in two.
âSorry about all the noise there lads. Turns out three of our scientists were feeling sorry for you and were attempting to put a plan together to break you out.â Calvin leered at the two brothers as he wiped blood from his hands.
âAnyway, big day for the both of you.â He motioned to several guards as he opened the cell door.  The guards piled in and pulled the two apart. They held each brother tightly, the sheer numbers overwhelming Darius and AJ. Blades pressed to throats and the door was barred, no hope of running anywhere.
âYou two cause any trouble and youâll get a bullet too, but it wonât be fatal. Just painfulâ, Calvin threatened.  They stood watching Calvin as the guards filed out and the one who Darius hoped to never see again walked in.Â
The bodyguard smiled a deep happy grin when he took in Darius. He moved to him, stopped in front of him and wrapped his large hand around the collar on Dariusâ neck.
âYesâ, he purred, âRed is definitely your colour.â
He gave the ring attached to the collar a sharp yank and Darius stumbled into him. AJ readied himself to launch at the man and attack, when the barrel of the gun was pressed to the back of his head.
âDonâtâ, Calvin ordered.
AJ stood stock still as he watched the bodyguard tighten his grip on Dariusâ collar. His other hand roved across Dariusâ chest and up to his face. He forced two fingers into Dariusâ mouth.Â
âSuckâ, he demanded. Darius hesitated as shame filled him. He couldnât do this as AJ watched.Â
The bodyguard yanked on the collar again forcing Dariusâ face toward and the fingers deeper into his mouth. The fingertips hit the back of his throat so roughly that he wondered if it would bruise. He let out a small whine, hollowed his cheeks and began to suck the bodyguards fingers.Â
AJ was horrified, his brother was being reduced to a sexual servant in front of him and he couldnât help. Calvin held his elbow twisted behind his back, gun still pressed to his head as he looked at the floor, unable to watch his brotherâs burning humiliation.Â
The bodyguard pulled his fingers free and wiped them along Dariusâ face. âNow thank meâ, he hissed dangerously.
âT-thank youâ, Darius stammered. A blow from the manâs fist landed hard as it impacted his stomach.Â
âTry againâ, the bodyguard sneered.
Darius tried to swallow his pride as he understood.
âThank you, Masterâ, he muttered head bowed.
âMuch better!â The bodyguards hand reached lower and he caressed Darius, palming him over his pants. Darius let out a quiet gasp and shook where he stood as tears rolled down his face. The bodyguard smirked again, then pulled out his phone and fired off a quick text. Minutes later two men dressed in grey overalls appeared. The black WRU logo was printed on their uniforms.Â
As they reached for Darius, some primal instinct kicked in, both brothers broke free of the men holding them. They lunged toward each other, arms outstretched.Â
Calvin hit a remote button heâd been toying with absently, a panic alarm AJ realised as he scrambled toward Darius. Their fingers had just met when he was wrenched away from behind. More foot men entered the cell and pulled at Darius, dragging him toward the door.
AJ screamed his name and stretched out his arm, fighting the multiple pairs of hands holding him as he tried to get hold of any part of Darius. At the last second he noticed the thick wooden baton. He had no chance to pull back, the baton slammed into his wrist just as he grabbed Dariusâ hand. Agony blew out from his wrist as the small bones splintered instantly, the pain radiated up his arm and into the fingers. His hand hung limply in front of him.Â
Darius yelled out and tried to surge forward to AJ, he took 3 punches to the face.  A gash opened over his eyebrow and blood obscured his vision. More punches landed in his kidneys and the guards managed to get hold of his hands and drag them behind him, cuffing them tight.Â
Despite the rolling shards of pain AJ lunged toward his brother again, a man met his lunge and a cold shock pierced his stomach. The shock broke his stride and he looked down at the small blade protruding from his abdomen. His small pause enabled the guards to seize his arms and cuff them too, paying no mind to his howls as they bent his broken wrist into the metal loops.Â
AJ tried to find purchase on the tiled floor to pull away from his captors as his brother was dragged toward the door. He screamed Dariusâ name. Darius fought to get to AJ as he wept his brothers name.Â
AJ watched in horror as Darius suddenly went limp, he saw the top of a shock baton lift from the side of his neck.Â
âDariusâŠ.. Nooooo, Darius.â AJ howled like a wounded animal. The guards finally dragged Darius out the cell and he vanished from AJâs view. AJ dropped his head as his tears fell.
The bodyguard approached AJ and lifted his chin with a meaty finger and looked at his tear stained face. Â
âUmmmm, I like your fight. Maybe you will see each other again. But for now, thank you for your brother. Iâll take exceptional care of himâŠâŠ and his cute little ass.â
AJ slumped and the guards dropped him. He fell to the floor, curled into a ball and sobbed. He cried out for Darius knowing he was gone and he couldnât reach him.Â
He was alone, despair drowned him, sudden loneliness gripped him like a vice. He knew what would happen to Darius, he knew he probably wouldnât get out of this facility alive. But all he could think of right now was a single broken thought.
Not being able to help Darius. Not being able to rescue him. Just being apart from him. That feeling was worse than death itself.
