I’m not sure if it’s ever confirmed canon, but effectively everyone in the Earthen Union is coded to be speaking the same language, maybe with different dialects depending on the region that you’re in but for the most part the same language in general.
What I’m saying is that Cinder, Scarlet, Thorne, everyone speaks some variety of Pidgin.

English Language Demands
I have two demands of the English language going forward. I think we need more words when describing other cultures and nationalities that don't have implicit hierarchal or "othering" connotations, and I would love to have more descriptive words for smells. Like try to describe the smell of like a skunk without using another smell for reference. Yeah, its not easy is it? Hey Merriam Webster, "twerk", shouldn't be the next linguistic step. Just a thought though.
