#fusion forms

Not exactly like them but the main hero of Ultraman Ginga could transform into different Ultra Heroes and even Ultra Kaiju using the Ginga Spark and the Spark Dolls (which were the forms the Ultras and their foes were forced into after the results of the Dark Spark War).

Even more recently, we have had Ultras who needed to borrow the power of other Ultras to transform, though they required two of them to do so, creating fusions of the other heroes.  Ultraman Orb was the first of these fusion fighters and his main form, Ultraman Orb Spacium Zeperrion is a mix of the original Ultraman and Ultraman Tiga.

On a side note, this was a very appropriate fusion as 2016′s Ultraman Orb was the 50th Anniversary series while Ultraman Tiga from 1996 was the 30th and of course, Ultraman was the original dating from 1966.

His other main forms were a mix of Ultraman Taro and Ultraman Mebius called Ultraman Orb Burnmite:

And Ultraman Orb Hurricane Slash borrowing the powers of Ultraman Zero and Ultraman Jack.

He gains other fusions but those may be considered spoilers and I would hate to ruin the fun of a recent series.

Then there was last year’s series, Ultraman Geed who was also a fusion warrior. Geed is the son of Ultraman Belial and his base form, Ultraman Geed Primitive is a fusion of Belial and the original Ultraman.

His Solid Burning form is a mix of Ultraseven and Ultraman Leo:

And Acro Smasher is a mix of Ultraman Cosmos and Ultraman Hikari (two blue Ultras):

Like Orb before him, he gets some rather spoilerific later fusions as well. \
