“Kanekiiiiii,” whines Furuta. “I’m lonely.”

“Furuta, I just got up.” Kaneki pulls his shirt on.

“I’m still lonely.” Furuta leaps up and pulls Kaneki back down on their bed. He pokes his nose. “You don’t seem happy. I need you to be happy. If you, the first artificial half-ghoul, can’t be happy, how can I?”

“How can I?” Kaneki replies, staring up at Furuta. 

“Will Mr. Ducky help?” Furuta hands him his beloved rubber duck.

Kaneki can’t resist a smile. “We’re more than what our parents made us, aren’t we?”

“We have to be,” says Furuta. “Please don’t let your mom destroy us.”

“If you don’t let Tsuneyoshi destroy you,” Kaneki says, studying Souta’s distressed expression. Even the very mention of Tsuneyoshi’s name is enough to unglue his beloved.

“I’m working on it,” Furuta says tightly.

“Me too.” Kaneki pulls Furuta closer for a kiss. Furuta smiles in relief.

Their dynamic during the Black Reaper era <3

What are your favorite things about the ship?

They are complete brats and they can't stand each other yet work soooo well together yet keep trying to one-up the other yet by trying to stop the other's plans they keep enabling them and Furuta's "associate special class :D" and Kaneki's "ex, Furuta" like they're divorced, they're literally so so funny together I mean look at that shit

also the potential for the hand fetish/worship, since Furuta never shows his hands and Black Reaper has a kagune hand and also wears gloves because of that.. listen, this gets me going okay

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

Fluff, romance and commitment are impossible with them. I haven't seen anyone talk about Furuneki in literal years but I do have a friend who likes them but more on the committed and fluffy side and I. really can't see them that way. Anything romantic actually. They're both aro to me if that helps.

The fact that it's an interesting one skkjdsksdkk sheesh i know they're siblings! come on people. but it's so interesting - since like. they're the starting point of the series. and Furuta's holding her captive and having children (the oggai) with her and stuff (yeah yeah i didn't talk about it in my "did furuta rape eto" answer but what he did to rize in the end is. yeah. but eto no he did not sksksk) so yeah!!

Why don’t you ship it?

I frankly don't know because it's definitely got the ingredients I love in a ship sksksksk prob because they're both way too aro but i love them as siblings (see my family is a big word au)

What would have made you like it?

if i knew i would be shipping them through that lens :') i was gonna say if they worked together at some point but that would have just fueled my siblings view
