n-ice to meet you!
The thing about lovely days, to Effie’s mind, was that they were only truly good if you could share them with other people. Aspen was squirrelled away in the back room of the shop - as usual! Such a hardworking boy! - so she’d decided to call on her second bestest friend so they could go for a walk in the park. Oh, she was so excited! They could talk in Greek, and she could ask more about his home - oh! And they could get food! Practically humming with excitement from head to toe, the dryad had more than a small spring in her step as she bounced her way to Toli’s.
Practically tripping her way up to the front door, she stretched up to rap lightly on it, giving a small step back to wait impatiently. Oh, she hoped he didn’t keep her waiting! Or maybe he was out - already enjoying the sun! Starting to run through where he might be instead, her smile shrinking into a thoughtful pout, it took a second for her to realise that the door was now opening, and that it wasn’t Toli who she greeted with a sunny beam and out-flung arms.
