She tore a piece of bread off the roll in her hand. Battles were exciting and all, but who was the genius who decided to host a school wide event before they’d even eaten breakfast? 

That was unfair. The students had indeed eaten on their march to the field. Garreg Mach’s army rations tasted so much better than the gruel she’d been forced to eat back in Daein. Still, the apples and cheese left much to be desired. 

A bright ball of fire appears in the corner of her eye, just atop the hill to her right. Oh, right, the battle!

Ilyana sidesteps the roaring flames just in time. Stuffing the rest of the roll in her mouth, she opens up the tome clutched in her free hand and unleashes a thunder spell at the white haired mage. Honestly, people should know better than to interrupt a girl while she’s eating! 

He had to beg real hard for this, but Sylvain drives a 1969 Camaro.

Now, see, when his folks took him to get him a car, they wanted to get him something modern and flashy since their idea of spoiling their precious son meant throwing cash around, and figured no price was too great.

But Sylvain made huge puppy eyes when he saw the old Camaro, and since they were spoiling him for getting into a top college majoring in what they picked out for him, they got that for him instead. And besides, as far as they were concerned, it would eventually give out and he’d have to get something more practical down the line, so it could serve as a valuable lesson too.

“Boey!”

The hand falling onto Boey’s shoulder was sure to be surprising, but Saber found that he cared little at the moment. There was far too much tension in his shoulders and stress at the back of his mind to bother playing nice and gentle with the young mage. Besides, he should expect that by now.

“What, did you think you could just avoid me forever now that you’re off at some fancy school?” Saber glanced briefly over at the other students. Some brats he didn’t recognize who looked shocked by Saber’s sudden appearance. Good.

He snorted and began steering Boey away from the group, ushering the mage off in the direction of the office Saber had been given with his position. “Well, no time like the present, is there, lad? Come on, I’m sure you’ve got plenty you want to rattle off to me about like Mae, come on now.”

DOES HE EVER!?

The arcade is legitimately one of Sylvain’s favourite places. Does it matter that he’s only any good at maybe 3 games? Not at all, he has a laugh with it. Is he That Guy who tries helplessly to win a giant teddy bear for a friend? You bet he is. Also, can we say cotton candy? He loves that stuff and he will eat way too much of it.

And, as @cynthero and I mentioned earlier and that I’m now gunna build on a tiny bit, if she’s there with him and there happens to be a DDR machine, y’all better get out the way, because they’re gunna tear it up. Sylvain loves dance games, and he’s good at them. They even switch sides mid dance and you know he’s gunna twirl her under his arm, or he’ll somehow twirl under her arm and they’ll smash the high score while doing so.

O: ODE.   does your muse have a way with words?

Absolutely. It’s at this point that the mun sadly realises that she does not have half the skill her muse has in canon, rip. Though, I do think a lot of Sylvain’s charm when it comes to the things he says isn’t just what he says, but how he says it. I’m pointing wildly at his C support with Ashe, when he charges off to help a girl in order to demonstrate how to “be valiant” and “help people.” (Of course, in Sylvain-language, this translates to flirting, but he still offers to help, sooo….) It might just be me, but his tone when he says “Are these going in the warehouse?” is just so very sweet. I do imagine that this man could whisper utter filth yet sound so warm and fuzzy he could make his date melt.

B: BOUQUET.   does your muse like flowers? which ones are their favourite?

Flowers aren’t really something Sylvain likes as a gift, most of the time. There’s a tiny part of him that feels like, much like saying “I love you,” that he’s cheapened them a bit. But, mostly, it’s because he actually knows what many of them mean. And it’s not because he has an interest in the language of flowers, more so that, since he gifts them so regularly to the girls he chases, he doesn’t want to go giving out the wrong message. In particular, Sylvain gifts those girls petunias.

And so, mostly, Sylvain doesn’t like receiving flowers all that much, because generally people don’t always know what message they’re sending when they do. He does, however, like sunflowers, and he holds a particular fondness for cacti. And no, not just for their resemblance to a certain prickly friend - though the irony isn’t lost upon him.

C: CHOCOLATE.   does your muse like chocolate? which one is their favourite?

Sylvain love love loves chocolate, but it’s not his go-to treat. He prefers fruity flavours, and so his favourite sweets are actually candied fruits. Watch him in hale a giant bag of candied peach rings, it won’t take long, it’s a little terrifying actually.

With that in mind, he has a very real weakness for chocolates that contain fruits of any kind, strawberry creams, bars of dark chocolate with dried cherries mixed in, chocolate covered raspberries, the list is endless. He is a little sad that peach isn’t often a flavour that’s paired with chocolate, but he’s long since worked out that he can have a bar and some of his beloved peach rings at the same time. Genius.

X: XOXO.   does your muse use / like pet names?

Let’s be real here, for the most part, Sylvain’s overuse of pet names helps him not have to mess up and call his current girlfriend the wrong name. (Sorry Tiffany,) It’s a habit that comes back to bite him in the ass in his later years, who could blame anyone for being put off after he’s used them so insincerely over the years? In later life, he really does try not to use them so much, but old habits die hard, and sometimes they just slip out.

2. The timeline in which they never met who would become the most influential or important person in their life, or that person was taken from them before they were capable of forming memories. The question of whether it’s Micaiah or Ike is up to debate (although I do lean towards the former), so let’s make this simple. What if he got to know neither?

The early years of his life would remain unchanged, an orphan in the streets, honing his only knife and trying not to get caught by traders, from whom he stole food, water and other necessities. Without anyone to guide him though, he ould have wandered about without any particular reason, trying to carve his own niche in Nevassa and, as such, would still become, at first, a thief, and later - an assassin, earning dirty money by abducting and murdering those undesirable for others. To elaborate, all of the people killed by him, would be on the richer side, but not due to Robin Hood-ish motives. Just because those are the ones he wouldn’t feel sorry for. 

Since he got his life in order and began making enough money in this “craft” to live without resorting to thievery, he wouldn’t have any reason to leave. He’d stay in Nevassa through the rise of the Mad King and later on. But, sooner or later, he would get caught. Red-handed or not, good or bad at his job, assassins don’t live long. But his life wouldn’t end there. He’d be given a choice. Incarceration and public execution or… service in the aggression army. Against the Crimeans, who (and it would be reiterated many times) colluded with those filthy sub-humans.

Of course, he’d choose the latter. Every Daenite in his situation would.

he would join the army and become of the best. Elite, even. With proper training and brain-washing, he would become incredibly skilled at his dirty job, robbing soldiers of their lives with just one steady blow. And with his lack of remorse and quiet obedience, he could have earned quite a name. Possibly, enough to lead a unit later down the line. 

But, without a doubt, he would collide with Ike’s army. I think this would happen later in the war, in Daein or maybe even Crimea, but not in the Melior battle. Fighting him wouldn’t be easy. But, eventually, he would meet his death at the tip of Titania or Oscar’s spear.

And there’s that.
