She's here! She's finally here. *throws ninja star confetti*
After the fedex dude slammed the box at the door, scaring the shit out of my cats, I got to see a mint box!
Yay.
But what an asshole right?? Luckily the pop was in a sorter for extra protection. (Never know when a currier will have a bad day and take it out on my house and packages.)
Paint job is a bit sloppy on the teeth but I expected worse tbh. She comes with a stand.

Marvel 80th Anniversary Funko Pop Mini advent calendar review
Figures pictured in the day order
Review under the cut
Overall
That shiny cardboard is a case, open at both ends. It folds open as seen in the picture, and the inner and outer cover flaps contain the same panels. The case also has greyscale outlines of panels on it.
The box is good, not much to complain about.
The character choices didn't appear to have any rhyme or reason besides popularity propably. It didn't have all the OG Avengers from the comics or the movies, it had all the Guardians except Drax. I also expected the 24th figure to be something significant or special, not just a random character. As the days went,i floated various theories about the composition (all the main Avengers, OG Avengers and their archenemkes, the most popular characters and their archenemies), but all my theories turned out wrong. Like endgame, the theories were better and made more sense than the actual final product.
The characters' textures variying between glossy and matte without rhyme or reason was weird.
Day 1 — Iron Man
It's straightforward, bright primary colors and slippery gloss surface. The yellow on his arms is poorly painted and red shines through. Also his right temple has a weird triangular gap in it in the red right on the yellow's edge and the groove between his faceplate and the rest of his body is very obvious, and the painting of his left eye is misplaced, leaving a part of the bulge unpainted and a flat part next to the other side painted.
Unlike most of these, he doesn't have a highly visible/hideous groove at the bottom of his head where it's joined to his body. It's pretty smooth.
Honestly it's just plain-looking. Maybe should have gone for a different design?
Day 2 — Captain America
Also brightly-colored, simplistic, and has a matte-feeling but somewhat shiny surface. He seems based on the original comics costume and has the shield on his back.
The coloring of the ears is somewhat weak, there's a tiny speck of blue paint on his nose, fists, and whites of his arms. The white stripes on his sides are disturbed where his arms seam in, the black of his belt stainsthe red stomach stripe for a bit, his boots are slightly miscolored purplish by blue spillage, his belt is slightly messy on the back, and typical of Funkos there's a rectangular groove around where his head joins his body. However aside from some sort of disturbance on the left side it's pretty subtle.
An okay look overall, the faults are pretty minor and not noticeable at a glance, the tint belt buckle's silver painting is literally perfext, and his chest star and shield are also immaculate.
Day 3 —The Hulk
Matte hair and more slippery skin. The classic look with the torn purple pants.
There are weirdnesses in different places on his skin's surface, like random indentations. Thec disconnect and seam between his arms and torso are visible from the front, and there's indentation/surface defromation on the back of his upper arms. The coloring of both eyes is slightly misplaced in a similiar manner to Iron Man's, and the ripped lower parts of his pants don't have the purple paint everywhere.
I like the hair, it feels nice to the touch and is pretty detailed, and his pecs and abs are also pretty detailed. Unlike most other characters, there's no trace of rectangular or any other shaped groove where his head and body connect, nor is there any gaps between the head and the hair. Pretty good overall.
Day 4 — Thor
The original costume, with the winged helmet, long hair, and six round armor plates on his torso.
Something about the hair looks weird to me though i can't pinpoint it, a visible seam goes over his helmet left to right, and his braclets suffer from incomplete coloration, especially the hammer-holding one and the same arm's fist also has blue staining. The pant between the cape and the hammer's handle appears completely unpainted, there's a random black rounded rectangle shape painted onto his belt, the cape's front is majorly discolored by blue and yellow from the boots and pants, and there's some yellow spillage on the pants and some unpainted edge on the leotard's bottom. His eyes' coloration is somewhat misplaced like the previous figures, the left worse than the right.
Most faults not visible at first glance, so this one's good to go i suppose. I like the helmet's metallic shine and the wings' detailing.
Day 5 — Spider-Man
It's just the classic primary color costume, semi-matte but still shiny, with one weird deviation: the eyes.
Instead or normal Spider-Man eyes like Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen in this very calendar, he has white Funko dot eyes with the black weirdly inserted around it. His head also seems smaller than Miles' and Gwen's. The eyes also have some black speck staining, and his web patterns are uncomored when they should be black. There's miscoloration on both sides of his upper arms and malformation on their backs, and typically for this calendar the seam grooves between the body and the arms are obvious. There's also a blue stain on the back spider. There's a weird but subtle groove shape where his body joins his head.
The eyes aren't bad, just inaccurate. The web pattern is all over and good-looking and visible even when uncolored. There isn't really anything else wrong with it and it looks good if you don't investigate too closely.
Day 6 — Loki
It's the original green and yellow costume, plus a metallic gold helmet.
The gold line on his chest/back doesn't reach all the way to his belt on either side, and on the backside the colorations of his yellow belt and gold speedo don't reach all the way to his arms. Additionally, the belt's coloring is either too thin or too low, the left arm's green goes over his gloves in places, while the inside of the same arm is miscolored yellow. The right forearm also has yellow miscoloration, as does his skin next to the hood on both sides. There's some green on his front collar's central triangle where should be yellow, and two collar triangles both in the front and back miscolor the green base yellow. The central collar triangle on the back is miscolored gold at the edges, as is the root of his ponytail which also has a noticeable hole surrounding its starting point on the helmet, and a smaller but still visible hole surrounding it at the back of his head. The horns have the same problem, clearly added to the helmet later and their holes a bit too big. I don't know if the ponytail was supposed to be yellow in the original design or if it's a mistake.
I like the helmet and the metallic detailing. I don't like the character design, though.
Day 7 — Venom
Shiny and slippery surface, depicts his classic design.
Unlike the others, his arms have zero errors or gap seams, though the square groove under his head is prominent but not visible from the front. The white of the eyes alternately has some trouble staying inside the eyes, or at other times filling everything it should fill. His mouth's color is contained in the mouth but parts of the fangs aren't colored properly. There's also a very thin but obvious seam going over his entire head from left to right.
Both spiders are very detailed and neat without any miscoloration or error. The tongue's color also stays on the tongue, and doesn't have any staining. The frown is also good.
Day 8 —Daredevil
It's the all-red classic costume, and the surface is glossy and slippery.
The horns have no tip or curve and are just tiny nubs. There's also some typical coloring error in the eyes, and the chin's skin color dips inti a tiny part of the mask. Also the rectangle's seam is right under the chin, making the head's red bottom visible from front view. The limit between them is somewhat jagged, but the bottom doesn't have horrible grooves on its limits. Also the top D on his chest seems cut off by the head.
It isn't terrible, and the Ds are well-done, with good font and clear lettering. There isn't any other miscoloring. Good quality.
Day 9 — Black Widow
Her hair is either supposed to be long or shoulder-lenght, i'm not sure. It's the black catsuit with only a belt and wrist gadgets, matte-feeling and non-shiny surface.
Her bangs miscolor her forehead/temple and her right bracelet is inaquadately colored, plus her belt has some black specks. Additionally there's some seam groove between her hair and left cheek and in the bottom of her head between head and hair, though it's only ugly there where it can't be seen. There's also suggestion of such between her bangs and the hair that goes to the sides.
Suddenly, there's a figure with more subdued colors, more detail, and non-slippery matte painting. It looks better than the others so far in a way, but also feels out of place to be honest. She looks good. I love the tiny but perfect red hourglass on her belt.
Day 10 — Miles Morales
It's the classic red and black costume.
Why does he need to have his eyes bulging like that, and not have them done like Spider-Gwen? It's much worse than Spider-Man's eyes because the right shape is there, but then they go and include the button eyes. There's some malformation in his elbows, slight miscoloring in his fingers, and the webbing has no texture.
I love how the red edges of his eyes are raised. The webbing is both accurate and unmarred, and the rectangle at the bottom of his head is barely noticeable. He'd be perfect if he had Gwen's eyes instead.
Day 11 — Doctor Strange
I believe it's the original comic costume. Also very matte and quite unslippery and unshiny.
There's visible groove between his hair and head in places. Particularly on his left temple where his hair doesn't fill the whole indentation and leaves a noticeable space of skin-colored indentation. The yellow parts of his cape are universally miscolored with red, and in several places miscolor the red themselves. His belt's coloring is also thin revealing the blue underneath, and significantly stains the blue shirt around it. His mustache and beard aren't colored properly, leaving elevated areas skin-colored. Like the belt, the grey hair of his temples lets black through.
I like the hair and how it feels to the touch. The upper part of the cape, the cape's bottom, and the gloves look fine.
Day 12 — Black Panther
I don't know what this is. Maybe it's the original costume?
Shiny matte, devoid of detailing, and not very recognizable. My first thought was that he looked like Batman, and it took me a moment to recognize him. When you look very carefully there are details like the cape's clasp, the gloves, belt, boots, and his pecs, but it just looks solid and undetailed and bad in casual observation. There's also a random line of white staining on his forehead pretty far from the eyes. Wouldn't recommend.
The cape looks and feels good.
Day 13 — Thanos
I believe this is the comics costume. The surface is shiny and semi-slippery, and he has the infinity gauntlet.
The blue looks murky/stained in a weird way. Is it whitish or greyish or is it actually some dirt? I have no idea. On his helmet's forehead thing, the gold and the blue alternately spill into each other and the stripe on thetop of his head has the same issue to a lesser extent. The circles on the sides of his head also have the gold spilling over the top and the back side's bulge. On the part of the helmet where the thin gold strips go around his face, the right side of cheekbone height has the gold too low and the elevated area is instead blue, and on the left the gold is too thin, also lesving the inner side blue. Where it's supposed to go under his chin the gold strip is either miscolored purple, deformed, or not there. His shoulder armor stains gold minorly from both the front and the back, as does his shirt hem's back and the side of his right boot. The red infinity stone has some weird speck on it.
I like the gold, and the infinity stones' coloring is good. The arms, for once, join into the body well.
Day 14 — Spider-Gwen
It's the original costume. The surface is matte and unshiny except for the face slightly and the eyes more.
Wasn't she supposed to have a bit of web patterning somewhere? The shoes' blue stains the black in some places and vice versa in others. There's some black between her chest and head. Also the pink inside of the hood doesn't stay completely inside the hood.
I actually love this and don't have much complaints about it. The colors are good, it feels nice to the touch, and there aren't any major faults.
Day 15 — Captain Marvel
It's the comic costume, you can tell by the belt. Her eyes and all the yellow and red are shiny and slippery, while her face, hair, and the blue are matte.
I kind of hate how shiny the helmet and eyes are. The blue spills into her boots, the yellow lets red through and in some places even past. Her both upper arms from the front and her right one from the back have red when they shouldn't be. There's also the typical arm deformation and gap-between-body-and-arm with her left arm. The belt's red clasp is also severely miscoloring the surrounding blue, and itself stained with red. There's also gap on both sides of her hair in the back of her head.
The matte hair is good, and i still generally like her despite the faults.
Day 16 — The Punisher
It's the classic costume, propably.
Another one i didn't initially recognize, and it took me even longer than recognizing Black Panther. The belt, boots, and gloves stain the black, the skull's teeth look weird and aren't attached to the skull itself. There's an obvious gap between the right ear and the hair above it, there's also a gap/indentation for hair on the left temple that isn't filled, but at least it doesn't look like a gaping black hole. There's also messy seam where the hair ends before his head does. Wouldn't recommend.
There's no rectangle groove at all at the bottom of his head where his body joins. Aside from the teeth the skull is very good. Also the hair is good and detailed, and his eyes are colored exactly right.
Day 17 — The Vision
It's the original costume in primary colors. The surface is also pretty shiny and slippery, except his face.
The square/rectangle groove under the head is EXTREMELY prominent. It literally looks like the head could come off if pulled (though it won't). It goes all the way around his head, not only through his schin but through his cape as well, and is impossible not to notice. It's also clearly visible from front view, making him look like he has a vetrilonquist dummy chin.
Day 18 — Rocket Raccoon
I assume it's the original comics costume. Red eyes, sharp face pattern. Shiny and slippery paintjob.
There's some weird shit in the fur grooves in his head, but it's nowhere close to the shit Groot has going on. His eye dots are slightly misplaced like many or most of these figures, but it's far from the worst case. His jaw's grey is stained from under by the brown, but isn't visible when the figure stands. The grey of the ears also stains some of the surrounding brown.
Day 19 — Groot
I assume it's the original comic design? His mouth looks stitched, and the branching on his head is really heavy.
He's ugly, his stare is weird, his brown is weirdly dull/greyish, and every single one of his wood surface detail styled grooves is filled with some white/grey shit that doesn't belong there. I don't even want to speculate about what it is or how it got there, let alone touch the thing. He always falls over because his head is too heavy and leans backward.
Day 20 — Star-Lord
Presumably the original comics costume, semi-shiny surface. The helmet's symbol and edge are metallic gold.
There's some extremely slight color spillage from the helmet to the mask and in the pants from the red line, plus the mask's yellow strips are slightly weirdly applied. The helmet's joining around the head and the right arm's joining at the front have visible gaping, but it's also very unnoticeable. The detailing on the belt and coat chest is great.
Day 21 — Ultron
It's propably his original design.
There's some color spillage to and from the maw. Not much room to get anything wrong here. The groove around where the head joins the body is clearly visible but not prominent.
Day 22 — Iron Fist
It's the original costume in the bright primary colors, plus plus a cool transparent fire(?) effect on his right hand.
The chest dragon is very clean and detailed, but lets some green through. His eye whites also spill onto the black, as does the yellow of the belt and the boots basically everywhere near the edge (mistily) There's also some very slight exchange from the back of the mask to his hair. The left arm blends into the body very well but the back of the right arm and the body have a visible gap. The right fist also spills onto and gets spilled on by the sleeve and even has some yellow taint. The joining of the hair to the head is also visibly off, and while there isn't the joining rectangle on the bottom of his head, there's visible gaping where his body joins his head (on the back side).
I really liked the fist effect though, and the way the mask wrinkles on the sides and more on the back, leading into the mask's knot.
Day 23 — Gamora
Presumably the originial costume? The awful one where she had a navel-deep neckline and only had strips of fabric in front of her boobs. The texture is matte, but i think the metals are more shiny and slippery?
The tiara thing stains and gets stained by the skin's green, gold stains the chest, and cloth. Skin stains cloth in some nooks. There's a visible gap between her forehead and hair. However the attachment of the head and the body is seamless and the figure looks clean at the first glance.
Day 24 — She-Hulk
The original costume propably. The hair and clothes are matte, while the skin is shinier and more slippery texture.
There's color spillage onto her belt, green spillage onto her gloves, and her boots seem to show some green through. Her eye spots have also been slightly misplaced though it isn't immediately visible, and there's some gapping between her head and hair visible on her left forehead and temple. Her head and body join seamlessly though.x

Blue Batman 1/18 chances from the Funko mystery minis DC universe. The painted Details on batman is nice and simple. I especially love it on the belt. and the small logo.
