WORLD OF DANCE NY 2013
By Paolo Aragona
Bright lights, thundering bass, and the roar of a packed house at Terminal 5 served as the backdrop for our first public performance in NYC at World of Dance NY last weekend.
We wanted to experiment with this particular performance with Frank Ocean's "Pyramids", and bring something different to the NYC dance community. Sharing the stage with so many of our fellow NYC/east coast dancers, as well as some of our industry idols, was such an inspiring experience. Much love to our old and new friends!
Personally, I found it particularly awesome that I had seen Frank Ocean performing "Pyramids" live around this time last summer- and there we were on the same stage dancing to the song! Interesting how some things come full circle. Being on the other side of the stage was definitely something to remember.

Working at the pyramid tonight...
Our set was only a taste of what's to come for our performance at Funkanometry SF's Sock Hop in San Francisco in July.
And so starts the countdown til Funks NY makes its way over to the Golden State to join Funks SF for an incredible weekend of dance and community!
Stay tuned for all things Funks NY and for more coverage on our events!
