The time has come and the program has officially began! And as excited as I am to tell you all about the first couple of days, first I must begin with my last hoorah.

The weekend before the program started, I ventured with six friends to Eilat (the southern-most point in Israel) for Funjoya, a weekend-long festival for Israeli students.

How did I manage to get into this exclusive festival you ask?

Thankfully, my brilliant boyfriend is studying sound-engineering at school here and was able to bring me. :)

The weekend was full of fun, parties, and a lot of heat. At one point the temperature gauge on the car read 44 degrees celsius (111 degrees fahrenheit for all you like me who only understand that!).

As fun as the weekend was, I was so excited to come back and join the group of participants who had already arrived and begin bonding and creating friendships with them.

**p.s. If you ever plan on going to Eilat, don't forget to drink tons of water. Because there is no humidity there, you will not sweat or feel your body dehydrate... but it will!!
