#fun trip

One time our class went on a big summer road trip together. This was when Damon and I barely knew each other, since we weren’t roommates or friends or anything. And Damon was driving this really cute van and I ended up riding with him and Diana and Eva. And then we ended up sharing a tent and he helped me go pee in the woods and then at the big mansion Wolfgang rented for all of us Damon and I shared and room and a bed for the first time and we did all of these crazy things and I taught him how to swim and we had a picnic on the beach and it was really the trip that made us fall in love.

Many people don’t know this, but I suffer from social anxiety. I don’t like going out places with lots of people, especially if I have to go alone; it makes me so anxious sometimes I could cry.

In my Multicultural Counseling class, one of my assignments is to go to an event celebrating a culture outside of my own, and then write a paper about it. My first thought was, “How am I supposed to do that in this big city??” Turns out, finding events isn’t hard at all. I came across the Charm City Night Market and knew I had to go. Only problem was I’d be going in alone. I’ve been determined to not let anxiety she fear rule my life, so I put on my big girl pants and ventured out into the city alone.

I went to the Grand Canyon for the first time! I know this is an art account but I’m pretty proud of these photos, and it was an amazing experience!
