and yet atm I donât see that weâre ever going to get an adaptation that has the guts to go in on the parallels between Fantine and Enjolras, or Eponine and Javert, or even to examine the way Valjeanâs parenting of Cosette challenges the gendered roles assigned to parentingÂ
and thatâs ...well itâs not great and people making adaptations should feel Not Great about itÂ
