I’m wondering if you could identify a maiko for me! I’ve never seen her before and couldn’t find her name referenced anywhere. Two photos of her were posted to kuumill’s instagram, one on February 18th, and a second on February 24th. She’s wearing a pale blue kimono, holding an umbrella and her kanzashi is 3 white and yellow flowers. From the hashtags I know she’s from miyagawacho. Any info about this stunning maiko would be much appreciated! Thanks!
That is Maiko Fukumari, and she was affiliated with the Horiyae Okiya of Miyagawacho. She had her Misedashi in February of 2010 and retired in June of 2016, after having her Erikae and working as a Geiko for about one year. She still works in Miyagawacho though, she either works for the kenban or at an ochaya, I’m not completely sure ^^’.
