I am curious about what they’ve been up to! Clarence in particular, since it seemed like he really did care about his children (at least a little bit), and I wonder how he’s been faring since that S2 betrayal. I do worry about how they’re going to incorporate them all into this season though, since they were all left behind in “regular” space...
Seeing Quinn’s backstory was so heartbreaking and I really feel for her. That being said though, im not rlly sure about Gary’s character, ive seen ppl say the was acting out of character by caring just for Quinn & not the others but im not sure where I stan. Also, that scene with Avocato’s eye falling out was kindam unnecessary & gross.
Ah, yes. I think a lot of the hand-wringing over Gary's behavior is secretly directed at Quinn, since people in this fandom seem very committed to the idea that everything is somehow the black woman's fault. I would agree that he gave up on Fox and Ash a bit quickly, but I think that's more because of the fast-paced writing this season. And it's not like he was completely ignoring Ash in this episode... he did leave Quinn alone to go help her at one point. (Which, ironically, is what ended up causing this whole mess.)
And yes, the eye horror was pretty gross! I actually had to look away from the screen at that part lol

Quinn honestly deserves so much better as a character,

Following that last anon, I highly doubt they’re gonna kill Quinn when they just got her out of final space, Her becoming a cyborg though, would be interesting, a little upsetting bc she lost her entire body but, I wonder where they’d go with that
No, I don't think they'd kill her off either. It would feel a bit redundant after her sacrifice in S1 and Nightfall's death in S2. At this point, though, I have no real idea where they're going to take her character, all kinds of wild ideas are potentially on the table.
Maybe im confusing this for the whole “first latino rep” thing but didn’t olan say there’d be a new lgbtqa+ character in s3? If so I really hope that doesn’t go bad,,
I believe what he has said is:
an existing character will be revealed as LGBT in S3
there will be an additional LGBT character in S4 (not clear whether it’s a character we already know or not)
Not sure what I think about it yet. Olan has said some not-entirely-woke things about gay marriage in the past, but that was a pretty long time ago and it seems like he’s trying very sincerely to incorporate diversity into his show. And, of course, there are more people than just him working on Final Space! So for now, I’m cautiously optimisitic... but like, cautiously.
