I think strength training has done more to give me a healthy and sane relationship with my weight than anything else.
Because the number on my scale? Doesn't say shit about how much stronger I've gotten, or how my clothes fit differently from body recomp, or how I can exert more effort before losing my breath, or how much more badass I feel. The number on the scale can stay the same and totally fail to catalog all those major changes -- which shows how little that number actually means.
All it describes is my relationship with Earth's gravity.
(....And how hard mutherfucking pull-ups are.)
